The Biggest Bridal Hair and Make-Up Trends of 2015

International MUA Evie Smith takes us through the biggest bridal make-up and hair trends of 2015

A couple of weeks ago, I answered for you the 6 most frequently asked bridal questions that I encountered. Today I'll be taking you through the biggest bridal hair and make-up trends of 2015 as a professional make-up artist!

There are just so many bridal trends throughout the year that often change with season and of course vary from wedding to wedding. Many brides opt to go for their own unique style of make-up, while others really prefer a little help from the professionals.

I’m really excited that there has been a return of the braid! There are so many options here, from waterfall, to dutch, French and even fishtail. A really popular one right now is a sweeping waterfall braid, folded back in to a bun.

Another cute style making a return is the beautiful baby’s breath. Add this beautiful flower in to any braid of your choice or simple dot around into loosely curled hair for a boho look.

Fresh faces are all around us at the moment as we (finally) enter warmer temperatures. Choosing soft browns and peaches for your eyelids is a perfect way to keep your make-up looking fresh and flawless. Try to keep your foundation light with foundations such as Mac Face and Body or a tinted moisturiser. If you need that little extra coverage then try Estee Lauders Double wear foundation and really buff it in to your skin to keep it in place all day.

The English Rose is back– if it ever left! Bitten lips are perfect this year, so head for beautiful rose colour lip stains and balms. If you want a lipstick with a gorgeous red tone, try Macs Hot Tahiti. Its so beautiful and suits most skin colours!

If you are looking for some pretty colours for your nails, I say ditch the traditional French manicure and go for summer tones such as nudes, peaches and pinks.

As with every style, make sure you try it out before your big day. Ask a professional, ask your friends and family, ask everybody. Trends are wonderful but make sure that whatever you pick is something you can look back on in 20 years and say that you made the right decision.

The sun may not always be shining in England, but we can definitely fake it through our hair and make-up!
